International Friendship Society (IIFS) honored Engr. Ferouze Miller with “Bharat Gaurav Award 2011”

 International Friendship Society (IIFS)  was pleased to honor Engr. Ferouze Hajimahomed Miller, B.E (Civil), Area Manager of Oil & Gas Sector in Combined Group Contracting Co. with “Bharat Gaurav Award 2011” for his 'Outstanding and Consistent Performance & Remarkable Role’ in the Project Management and Construction Industry in India and Kuwait. The award was presented jointly by Shri. Pavan Kumar Bansal, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs & Water Resources, Government of India with Dr. Bhishma Narain Singh former Union Minister and Governor Tamilnadu, on the occasion of National seminar on ‘Global Participation in India’s Economic Development’ held on 6th January, 2011 at Hotel Meridian, New Delhi to mark Pravasi Bharatiya Divas for the year 2011. 

The award giving function was graced by dignitaries Rt. Hon’ble Barness Sandeep Varma(Minister in Waiting Govt. Of U.K), Ms. Ruby Dhalla (member of Parliament from Canada, Sardar Joginder Singh Chairman IIFS& Former CBI Director), Mr.Rohit Kochhar (Chairman and MD Kochhar &Co).

Engr. Ferouze Miller is a Civil Engineer working in the contracting industry, born in Chanda, Chandrapur and now is a resident of Maharastra, India. 

He attended Bombay University, India, achieving a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering in 1968. 

For the last 35 years of service in Kuwait overall he has established himself as having the key skills in all construction sectors, covering all aspects including safety, budgets, cost control, estimation, contractual matters and management. Under his auspices, his division has received many prestigious awards for excellence of work and safety, Engr. Ferouze was given a certificate of excellence and a medal by the US Corp of Engineers. 

Eng. Ferouze is a respected member of the Kuwait construction industry with a renowned reputation; he is a long term member of the Indian Institute of Engineers (Kuwait chapter) as a Chartered Engineer, also a member of the Kuwait Society of Engineers.

He recognizes the need to support the Indian community in Kuwait and makes opportunity to sponsor many events and in doing so has received due recognition and award from the Institute of Engineers. 

Having more than thousands of workers from India now working in the Oil & & Gas Sector, Engr. Ferouze consider this as the biggest achievement of his life; as he sees these workers grow and prosper, educate their families and return home in a few years in time to start a small business in India.
